Must have a High School degree or GED.
Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with previous leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
What you will be doing as a Brake Press Lead:
Oversee efficient flow of product; striving to make sure component parts, containers and production supplies are always at the line to eliminate any line stoppage.
Responsible for product quality, and workmanship of the department.
Assists with developing and implementing corrective actions that will drive positive KPI performance.
Organize and assign work; and if necessary, train employees to ensure performance standards are met.
Anticipate production delays, material shortages, equipment malfunctions, etc.
and where feasible devise and implement procedures to offset loss of labor hours and schedule interruptions.
Communicates necessary repairs of equipment to avoid excessive downtime.
Monitor use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions.
Ensures proper safety behaviors are being followed.
Ensure appropriate paperwork is properly completed for effective process tracking to support Quality and continuous improvement efforts.
Assists mentors with Operator training as needed.
Initiate communication with appropriate personnel when external input/help is needed on production or quality issues.
Works with department supervisor to maintain conformance with Company policies and procedures.
Participates in disciplinary measures as appropriate.
Provide input on employee performance and training opportunities.
Serves as a back up to the Operations Supervisor as needed.
Run Cincinnati Brake Presses as needed Other duties as assigned Job Type:
