Quality technicians prevent unsatisfactory products from being part of the completed job.
A quality tech is responsible for examining materials for flaws and deviations from the original product specifications.
Quality techs inspect, accept, or reject products for durability, function, customer satisfaction and overall quality.
Coordinate & obtain required inspection results, technical data, applicable documents/information from vendors, testing labs & applicable departments to complete PPAPs, First Article inspections in timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Perform all levels of customer PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), First Article inspection (FAIR) reports.
Review customer prints for issue during contract review sign off/ while preparing PPAPs, during inspections, communicate with customer and engineering team and submit customer Engineering changes/deviations.
Read and interpret blueprints, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance (GD&T), Basics ISO requirement, tool calibration experience, and Office applications (Excel, Word) Perform Inspections on parts that need PPAP documentation, First Article inspections reports final quality checks and 1st piece sign offs.
Perform incoming inspections for outside Fabricated & machined parts.
Identify and review non-conforming parts during inspections and communicate information to supervisor, production, and engineering to ensure proper disposition of non-conforming part.

t adding work instructions, answering print & PPAP related questions as applicable.
Support Sr Quality engineer in issuing RMAs, Quality Alerts, containment actions and updating MRB part list, communicating issues to vendors etc.
as needed during absence and when directed.
Skills and knowledge required for this position:
Knowledge and experience in following items:
read and interpret blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), Basics ISO requirement and Office applications (Excel, Word) Knowledge and experience in completing PPAP documentation & First Article reports.
Program & operate CMM Romer arm (PC-DMIS software).
Aptitude to inspect, evaluate and interpret dimensional, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), welding callouts requirements.
Ability to work independently as well as in team and coordinate work with other departments.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
